Stop. Cherry Time. Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.

smoothie007_1nnI’ve never been a crazy cherry fan. I guess because my relationship with them as a kid consisted of that icky syrupy thing on top of sundaes and that fake cherry ‘flavor’ in everything. And it was never my favorite of the kiddie flavors  (go grape!).  But cherries have been staring me in the face at the front of the produce section all this month. Second I walk in the door, boom, pretty cherry display! Finally decided to give them a whirl in this breakfast smoothie. I added in spinach & frozen banana for some heft as well as a teaspoon of cocoa for just a bit of decadence.
